MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- No. 8 Centre suffered its first loss of the season in a 2-1 double-overtime loss to Rhodes on Sunday.

With just 1:30 left to play in the final overtime, Rhodes claimed victory when Beth Ann McCloskey scored on an assist from Kelsey Keown. The loss ends Centre's 15-game winning streak, dropping the Colonels to 15-1 on the season and 5-1 in SAA competition. Rhodes improves to 11-3-1 overall and is also 5-1 in the conference.

Keown scored the first goal of the game, getting the Lynx out to a 1-0 lead on an unassisted goal in the 25th minute. The lead held up until the 63rd minute when Centre's Alex Combs scored an unassisted goal that would tie the score and eventually send the game to overtime.

Centre outshot Rhodes 11-10 and held a 7-4 edge in corner kicks. Centre's Holly Hilton and Rhodes' Allison Cowling each made three saves.
