No. 4 Lynchburg 3, Maryville (Tenn.) 1

Maryville, Tenn. -- Angela Bosco scored two more goals, giving her a goal in all five season games as fourth-ranked Lynchburg downed Maryville (Tenn.) 3-1 on Friday night.

Bosco staked the Hornets to an early lead, netting the first goal a mere 57 seconds into the match off an assist from Mary Beier. Two minutes later Bosco struck again with her second tally, providing the Hornets with a 2-0 lead three minutes into the game. Erin Benson notched her first career goal 21 minutes into the first half for Lynchburg's final tally.

Sierra Siegel collected the lone score for the Scots from just outside the box before the first half ended.

The Hornets outshot Maryville 16-6 while maintaining a slim 8-6 advantage in corner kicks. Karsen Schottleutner made two saves for Lynchburg. Mandy Marshall had eight saves for the Scots (1-1-1).

No. 6 Trinity (Texas) 2, Texas-Tyler 0

SAN ANTONIO -- No. 6 Trinity (Texas) defeated Texas-Tyler 2-0 on Friday evening to improve to 4-0-1. The Tigers took 36 shots in the win while the Patriots (3-1-0) managed just two.

The match was scoreless into the 45th minute of the first half, when Kelsey Falcone took a Hannah Kuhl pass and put it into the back of the net, closing the first half with a 1-0 Tigers lead.

With the time in the match dwindling down, Trinity's Emily Jorgens scored an unassisted goal with just 20 seconds to play, sealing the 2-0 victory.

In the loss, Jordan Johnson managed the only two shots, one of which was on goal for the Patriots.
