Maryland Athletics
Senior Olivia Wagner knocked in two goals in No. 10 Maryland's come-from-behind 3-1 win against No. 3 Virginia this past Thursday. Despite the loss to No. 16 Virginia Tech, the Terps still maintain hold of the top spot in the league standings with a 4-1-1 record. The midfielder currently ranks third on the squad in total goals on the season.
Georgetown Athletics
Daphne Corboz, a sophomore midfielder for the Hoyas, scored a career-high five goals, including three in the first half, as No. 11 Georgetown defeated Pittsburgh on Sunday. She also had one assist in the outing. Her performance set a school record for goals in a Big East game and tied the all-time Big East individual record for goals in a game. Corboz also set the league record with 11 points, breaking the previous mark of 10 which was held by three different players.
Florida State Athletics
Two of four goals on the season came this past weekend, both of which would turn out to be the game-winners for the Seminoles, from sophomore midfielder Dagny Brynjarsdottir. She had the lone score in No. 1 Florida State's 1-0 win versus No. 9 North Carolina. Brynjarsdottir also picked up a tally in the team's 2-0 win against NC State. It was FSU's sixth shutout in a row, which pushed the squad's consecutive shutout minutes streak to 618.
