PALO ALTO, Calif. - Ashly Jacobs may have saved her best performance for nearly the end of her career as she faced two over the minimum number of hitters and lead Tech to a 1-0 win over UC Davis. The Red Raiders advance to face Stanford and the winner will need to beat Hawai'i twice tomorrow to continue in the postseason, but one thing at a time.

The Red Raiders put up a run in the first on a Logan Hall single, after Leah Legler had opened the game with a single up the middle, was advanced to second on a bunt, and advanced to third on a wild pitch. But, the game was all about the pitchers.

After Jacobs walked one in the first she settled down to retire then next 20 batters before giving up a 1-out single in the seventh. She turned a double play and struck out the final Aggies, looking, to complete the shut out.
