ROCHESTER, Minn. -- No. 23 Winona State used big innings -- getting at least four runs in a single frame four times -- to take both games of a doubleheader against Wisconsin-Parkside on Thursday. The Warriors won the opener 10-0 and added a 12-3 victory in game two.

Winona State (6-1 overall) broke the first game open with a pair of early home runs. With the bases loaded in the bottom of the first Morgan Lintz sent a shot over the fence in right-center for a grand slam and a 4-0 WSU lead.

After a pair of run scoring singles by Molly Link and Kim Wachholder in the second, Kathy Crudo rocketed a three-run homer to push the WSU advantage to 9-0. Melissa Reyes scored the Warriors' final run of the game in the third on a Wisconsin-Parkside wild pitch.

Stacey Struzynski was in command once again on the mound for the Warriors, posting a three-hit shutout. The WSU senior moved her record to 4-0 on the year after striking out nine in five innings of work.

As in game one, Winona State used a big inning to put space between themselves and Wisconsin-Parkside early. After scoring once in the first, WSU added six runs in the second to hold an early 7-0 lead. Lauren Flannery laced a two-run double to get the scoring going in the second and later scored on a wild pitch. Brittany Stewart drove home two more with a double while Link also had an RBI in the frame.

Wisconsin-Parkside scored three runs in the top of the third but Sam Hildebrandt led off the Warrior half of the inning with a double and was knocked home on a triple from Katilin Hardie. After Flannery and Brooke Piotrowski walked, Link laced a two-run single to put the Warriors up 10-3. Wachholder drove Piotrowski home with a sacrifice fly with Link scoring on an error to increase the WSU advantage to 12-3 after three innings.

Stewart earned the victory for the Warriors after allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out eight.
