ROCHESTER, Minn. -- Molly Link and Morgan Lintz recorded game-winning hits as No. 17 Winona State swept No. 7 Augustana (S.D.) on Thursday afternoon in the RCTC Dome in Rochester. The Warriors took game one 4-1 and added a 5-2 victory in game two.

Link provided a go-ahead single in the opener while Lintz hit a two-run home run to center field to give WSU the lead in game two.

Winona State got on the board in the first inning of game one when Brooke Piotrowski stole second base and came around to score on an Augustana error. Augustana got that run back in the fifth, scoring to tie the game at one.

The Warriors put up three runs in the bottom half of the fifth inning, getting all with two outs. Augustana committed an error with two outs, loading the bases. Link responded with a two-run single and Kim Wachholder added a RBI hit to put WSU up 4-1.

Stacey Struzynski pushed her record to 6-0 on the season after allowing just one run over seven innings. The WSU senior allowed seven hits but got out of jams in the first and seventh innings to preserve the victory.

Augustana took a 1-0 lead with a run in the first inning of game two. Winona State finally broke through in the fourth to take a 2-0 advantage on Lintz's long home run to center field. The Warriors added three more in the fifth on a two-run double by Wachholder and an Augustana error.

Brittany Stewart allowed just one earned run and struck out three to record the victory in game two.

Kaitlin Hardie led the Warriors with three hits in the doubleheader while Wachholder and Lintz each recorded two.
