BERKELEY, Calif. -- Arizona State topped California 5-0 in the final game of the series to end the regular-season schedule on Saturday afternoon.

ASU (46-7, 18-4 Pac-12)  took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second after Sam Parlich and Talor Haro each reached on singles followed by Katelyn Boyd ringing a double to plate the duo.

The board remained unlit for until the top of the seventh while Dallas Escobedo and company stifled all California (50-4, 21-3 Pac-12) attempts of a rally the rest of the way.

In the top of the seventh, the Sun Devils scored three runs on five hits all with two outs. Annie Lockwood plated Haro with a sacrifice fly to make it 3-0. Elizabeth Caporuscio followed with an infield single that brought home Boyd.

With a 4-0 lead, Amber Freeman brought home Caporuscio, unearned, on a single before a Cal error to make it a final score of 5-0.

Escobedo picked up the win in a 10-strikeout performance. She is now 20-4 on the year while Cal's Jolene Henderson took the loss to fall to 30-2.
