South Florida jumps back into national polls after 12th Big East win in a row
TAMPA, Fla. -- South Florida has made its way back into the national rankings.
USF (35-12, 13-1) took a three-game set from Providence last weekend and has won 29 of its past 31 games. The Bulls’ pitching staff ranks second nationally with a 1.29 ERA.
Individually, Sara Nevins’ 0.96 ERA ranks fifth in the country, while Lindsey Richardson (1.16 ERA) is eighth. Nevins and Richardson have combined to throw four no-hitters this season after Richardson produced her third in game two of Saturday’s doubleheader against Providence.
Shortstop Kourtney Salvarola leads the Big East with 13 homers after hitting a three-run shot to cap off USF’s 10-0 win in game one on Saturday.
