WACO, Texas -- A day after hitting five home runs and combining for 17 runs in two wins, the No. 10 Baylor softball team used pitching to pick up two more against Texas A&M Corpus Christi Saturday. The Bears improved to 4-0 to start the season, and in the second day of the Getterman Classic BU took 6-3 and 6-0 wins, respectively, against the Islanders.
Brooke Seneshen and Kendall Potts each picked up their first wins in a Baylor uniform. Seneshen pitched in game one, surrendering three unearned runs in five innings of work and striking out three. Heather Stearns picked up her second consecutive save in as many games, striking out three in two innings.
Potts received a no-decision in Baylor's win against Stephen F. Austin on Friday night in 3.2 innings of work. However, she picked up her first win with a seven-inning complete game shutout where she struck out six and walked just one.
