WCWS: How the field of 8 reached the NCAA softball championships in Oklahoma City

The 2016 Women's College World Series begins Thursday in Oklahoma City. What started as 64 teams competing in the postseason has been narrowed to the final eight teams competing for the WCWS Division I softball national title.

Here is a  look at the tournament performances from each program so far and which players have led the way to Oklahoma City.
