DII softball power rankings: Harding leads pack in Week 1

  Harding has won 27 straight games and leads's first power rankings of the season.

With Division II softball season in full swing, power rankings are back. Here's the Week 1 edition:

1 Harding 35-3 Currently the hottest team in Division II; on a 27-game winning streak
2 Humboldt State 26-5 Lost to North Alabama in last year's championship series; on a four-game winning streak
3 Southern Arkansas 32-6 Senior pitcher Kaylee Garner is 14-0
4 St. Mary's (TX) 31-7 Team has won its last six games, all on the road
5 Angelo State 36-4 Freshman Courtney Barnhill is hitting .438 with 10 home runs and 10 doubles
6 Cal State Monterey Bay 29-4 Team has won 18 straight since losing twice to Cal State San Bernardino
7 Pfeiffer 33-3 Batting .324 as a team; currently on a six-game winning streak
8 West Texas A&M 29-6 Has won seven in a row since losing to Angelo State
