2017 Division I Softball conference championships, automatic qualifiers

The Division I Softball Committee will unveil its selections for the 2017 NCAA Division I Softball Championship on Sunday, May 14 at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

The 64-team field will be selected from 283 NCAA Division I institutions sponsoring the sport of softball. Of the 64 teams, 32 teams will receive automatic qualification, and 32 more teams will be selected on an at-large basis.
