TCNJ handles William Paterson
For second day, TCNJ won all 12 individual events

Ewing, NJ -- The College of New Jersey remained unbeaten in New Jersey Athletic Conference action as they defeated visitor William Paterson University 184-104.
It was as dominant as it gets this weekend for the 12th-ranked Lions (6-2, 3-0 NJAC) as they competed in 32 events over two meets and recorded first-place finishes in every one of them. For the second straight day, TCNJ won all 12 individual events, both relays races, and a netted pair of TJ Burns (Clarks Summit/Abington Heights) wins on the diving board.
Sophomore Evan Paulan (Westfield, NJ/Westfield) notched three wins placing first in two individual events and a relay. Paulan finished first in the 100-yard backstroke (56.24), 100-butterfly (53.75), and 400-medley relay (3:35.38).
Senior Tom Medvecky continued his stellar senior season touching the wall first in the 100-free (48.24) and 200-individual medley finishing in 2:01.38. He also joined Paulan, Joe Tseng (East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park), and Shawn Kircher (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) in the 400-medley as the team registered a winning time of 3:35.38.
A pair of freshman had breakout performances as Matthew Knoth (Matawan, NJ/Old Bridge) and Phil Hawley (Easthampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley) each tallied two first-place finishes. Knoth won the 100-breast in 1:02.88 before returning to win the 200-breast in 2:16.10. Hawley topped the competition in the 200-free (1:50.06) and 200-backstroke posting a winning time of 2:02.57.
Burns posted scores of 332.25 (3-meter) and 318.15 (1-meter) to continue his tremendous season on the board.
