
LOS ANGELES -- Sophomore Collin Pollard and junior Haley Ishimatsu swept the platform events to finish off the 2014 Bruin Diving Invite on Sunday at UCLA.
Pollard, who won the 3-meter and finished second on 1-meter, claimed the men's event with 738.65, well ahead of Utah's second-place finisher Jacob Crayne (622.95). Trojan sophomore Adam Payne was fifth (502.20).
Ishimatsu, who also took first in both springboard events, won the women's event with 650.45 points, almost 100 better than UCLA second-place finisher Annika Lenz (556.30). Trojan sophomore Sam Adams was third (514.35) while fellow sophomore Natalie Kalibat was 11th (422.50).
California at UCLA Diving Invitational
LOS ANGELES – Sophomore diver Anne Kastler completed an impressive weekend at the Bruin Invitational on Sunday with a fifth-place finish on the platform with a score of 445.95 points.
Earlier at the meet, Kastler was the runner-up on the 1-meter board Friday and 14th on the 3-meter board Saturday.
On Sunday, Kastler accumulated 231.80 points in the preliminary round, then added 214.15 points in the final for her overall total of 445.95. Kahley Rowell completed one dive before dropping out of the competition.
