The UTSA men's tennis team season came to an end after 4-0 loss at No. 3 Texas on Friday night in first-round action of the NCAA Championships at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center.

The Roadrunners finished the 2010 campaign with a 13-10 overall record, while the Longhorns improved to 26-2 on the season and advanced to the second round where they will play the winner of the No. 30 Arizona/No. 32 Minnesota match.

UT took the early 1-0 lead in doubles action.

Freshman Tyler Brown and junior Max Stratmann saw their seven-match winning streak come to an end with an 8-1 loss against Jean Andersen and Vasko Mladenov at the No. 3 position. The Horns then clinched the point when Dimitar Kutrovsky and Josh Zavala collected an 8-4 win against senior Rodrigo Morgado and sophomore Pedro Zanotelli.

In singles action, Texas claimed the match with wins at the top three spots.

Kutrovsky dealt Brown a straight-sets loss (6-2, 6-1) at the top spot, Andersen picked up a 7-6, 6-2 win against freshman Martin Ayala at No. 3 and Ed Corrie finished things off with a pair of 6-3 triumphs at the No. 2 slot.
