LEXINGTON, Va. – After earning a 9-0 victory Saturday against Bridgewater (Va.) College, the 25th-ranked Salisbury University men's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season at the hands of 28th-ranked Washington & Lee University (2-0) on Sunday.

The loss was not for lack of effort, as two of Salisbury six singles matches went to three sets to determine the victor. Sophomore Henry Stuhler earned the Sea Gulls' only win of the day, taking a hard-fought win (7-5, 7-5) at the No. 5 singles spot. The No. 1 doubles duo of junior Daniel Barnas and senior Andrew Nottage suffered a narrow 8-6 loss.
