MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – No. 9 Columbus State recorded another Peach Belt Conference victory defeating No. 14 Georgia College 6-3 on Sunday afternoon.

The Cougars (15-1, 5-0 PBC) took a 2-1 lead after doubles play including taking first doubles in a match of top-20 opponents. The sixth-ranked duo of Martin Shishkov and Olivier Simonet defeated 14th-ranked Jerome Leborgne and Johan Wadstein 8-4 to get CSU on the board.

Gordan Divljak and Quentin Rayniere stayed perfect on the season taking down Tyler Franks and Kasper Konyves 8-3. Georgia College notched a victory at third doubles as Wictor Andersson and Leo Bernardes defeated Adi Malicbegovic and Michael Trebuhov 9-7.

In singles action, 13th-ranked Leborgne defeated 25th-ranked Simonet in straight sets 6-3, 6-4. The Bobcats made things interesting as Wadstein took down Divljak at second singles 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.

However, Rayniere had a clutch win for CSU at third singles winning in three sets against Bernardes 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. 42-ranked Shishkov swept Konyves 6-1, 6-3 at fourth singles.

Columbus State finished the match off with victories at fifth and sixth singles. At fifth singles, Oussama Zoghlami defeated Alex Schubert 6-4, 6-2. At the final singles position, Danilo Sardelli took down Andersson 6-3, 6-4.
