FLUSHING, N.Y. -- No. 24 Queens (N.Y.) captured its third-consecutive East Coast Conference title on Thursday afternoon, as the top-seeded Knights secured a 5-1 triumph against second-seeded District of Columbia.

Queens (18-3) secured two doubles matches, as Tyrone Ewels and Claudio Andrade scored an 8-1 decision versus Tomas Gajdusek and Bruno Reich. Later on, Attila Toth and Nikolaj Wulff went to a tiebreaker before capturing a 9-8 (7-4) decision in the No. 1 flight against Aleksandar Grabovac and Simon Andersson.

Andrade was first to finish in singles action, as he won his No. 4 match against Miguel Uzcategui by identical 6-0 scores. Ewels bested Gajdusek in the No. 2 flight 6-1 and 6-4, before Diego Medrano knocked off Andersson 6-1 and 6-3 to secure the team victory for the Knights.
