MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- No. 9 Middlebury won its second match in as many days, picking up an 8-1 win against 28th-ranked Trinity (Conn.).

The Panthers improved to 13-1 on the season, while the Bantams fell to 5-5.

After struggling in doubles play on Saturday, Middlebury came out strong with three wins on Sunday. The top two doubles matches were 8-4 wins, while Will Oberrender and Chris Frost were 9-7 winners against Kayong Lee and Ford Traff at No. 3.

The Panthers earned consecutive-set wins in singles slots 1-4, with Trinity picking up a win at No. 5. Alex Johnston, Brantner Jones, Teddy Fitzgibbons and Ari Smolyar earned wins, while Jackson Frons filled in for Middlebury in the sixth slot with a victory.
