BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- The 10th-ranked Clippers hosted Division I Fairleigh Dickinson on Tuesday at the Meyers Tennis Center. Concordia (N.Y.) captured its 10th consecutive victory after knocking off the Knights 8-1 to improve to 20-0 against FDU since the 1978 season.

The Clippers began the afternoon with a sweep in doubles play. Senior Andrey Boldarev and junior Daniele Piludu battled hard to a 9-7 win in their No. 1 match against Arvis Berzins and Ibrahim Shams.

Sophomores Tomasz Olfans and Benas Majauskas grabbed an 8-3 victory in their No. 2 match against Mark Hemy and Peter Skvarka, while the duo of seniors Andreas Lindell and David Tisserand were victorious against Yuri Gricheno and Julien Philippe in the No. 3 match 8-6.

Concordia took three singles matches in straight sets as Piludu began with a 6-2, 6-1 win in the No. 2 match against Shams. Majauskas followed with a 6-4, 6-3 victory in his No. 5 match against Skvarka, while Boldarev earned a 7-5, 6-3 win against Berzins in the No. 1 match.

Sophomore Juuso Ojanen went three sets against Markus Sjoberg as Ojanen edged out a 6-0, 2-6, 6-2 win in the No. 6 match. The Clippers' final victory of the day came in the No. 4 match as Olfans defeated Hemy 7-5, 6-7 (5), 1-0 (5).

Fairleigh Dickinson's lone win came in the No. 3 singles match as the Knights' Gricheno took a 6-2, 6-3 victory against Concordia's Tisserand.
