Putterman wins No. 100 in Washington (Mo.)'s victory

ST. LOUIS -- Junior Ross Putterman won a pair of matches to become the 15th member of Washington (Mo.)’s 100-win club as the Bears posted a 9-0 regional victory against Principia on Saturday afternoon at the Tao Tennis Center.

Putterman has compiled an overall record of 101-57 in three seasons on the Danforth Campus -- 41-32 in singles and 60-25 in doubles.

Putterman teamed up with Jeremy Bush to take down Jason Wissman and Joey Sander to earn one of top-ranked Washington's three points in doubles. Putterman beat Wissman 7-6(7-3), 6-0 in singles for career win No. 101.

Freshman John Carswell has won nine consecutive singles matches and is now 17-3 this season.

DIII Women's Track & Field: Washington (Mo.) takes home first-ever outdoor championship

The Washington University in St. Louis women's track & field team was the top-ranked team all season, and it culminated the year with a championship.

Washington University in St. Louis women's track & field captured the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championship during the two-day event at North Central College, the first title in program history and 21st overall National Championship in school history. The men's program placed 17th with 11.5 points from two senior members of the team.
