No. 7 Lander cruises by Flagler

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Lander swept all its matches except at No. 2 singles Sunday to claim an 8-1 Peach Belt Conference victory against No. 44 Flagler.

Lander improves to 10-3 overall and 5-1 in the PBC, while Flagler sinks to 5-12, 2-4.

In singles, No. 1 Vincent Verpeaux (L) def. No. 42 Jose Martinez (F) 6-3, 0-6, 6-2; No. 2 Inigo Landaluce (F) def. Marc Hofer (L) 1-6, 7-6 (7-5), 1-0 (10-7); No. 3 Ristomatti Lanne (L) def. Hermann Gertmann (F) 6-3, 6-2; No. 4 Adam Jonsson (L) def. Fabio Ferrauti (F) 6-3, 6-3; No. 5 Niklas Terhorst (L) def. Emilio Preis (F) 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 1-0 (11-9); and No. 6 Diego Zegarra (L) def. Bruno Padilha (F) 6-2, 6-0.

In doubles, No. 1 Adam Jonsson/Oscar Axelsson (L) def. Jose Martinez/Inigo Landaluce (F) 9-8 (7-4); No. 2 Vincent Verpeaux/Niklas Terhorst (L) def. David Espinosa/Hermann Gertmann (F) 8-4; and No. 3 Marc Hofer/Samuel Poutignat (L) def. Uriel Oquendo/Emilio Preis (F) 8-2.
