Wash. (Mo.) beats DII's 12th-ranked Drury

ST. LOUIS -- Washington (Mo.) continued its dominance at home with a 6-3 victory against NCAA Division II No. 12 Drury on Saturday afternoon at the Tao Tennis Center.

Washington U. has won 15 consecutive matches at home and is 89-4 at the Tao Tennis Center in the last 10 years. The Bears are 116-9 (.928) at home in 13 seasons under head coach Roger Follmer.

Freshman John Carswell has won 10 consecutive singles matches and is 18-3 overall. Carswell is 5-0 against ranked opponents while freshman Jeremy Bush is 4-1.

Washington U. is 8-1 against ranked opponents this season.

The victory for head coach Roger Follmer was the 225th of his caree

Washington University in St. Louis women's track & field captured the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championship during the two-day event at North Central College, the first title in program history and 21st overall National Championship in school history. The men's program placed 17th with 11.5 points from two senior members of the team.
