No. 1 West Florida blanks No. 13 Valdosta St.

PENSACOLA, Fla. -- West Florida defeated No. 13 Valdosta State 5-0 at home Sunday morning. West Florida (18-0, 7-0 GSC) wins its 18th consecutive match and seventh Gulf South Conference match in a row to start the 2014 spring season.

Bruno Savi and Pedro Roese won 8-6 at No. 1 doubles while Alex Peyrot and Felipe Frattini won 8-3 at No. 2 doubles. Domenico Sano and Elio Latella won 8-5 at No. 3 doubles.

No. 1 Savi won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles while Douglas Boe won at No. 6 singles 6-0, 6-2 to clinch the win.
