With the victory, the Bearcats now move to 13-9 on the season. SBU opened up play by taking two of three doubles matches, with the doubles teams of Kristof Kinal/Omar El Kheshen and Chris Blodig/Daniel Cardona picking up victories at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. The Bearcats sealed the victory with singles wins by Kinal, El Kheshen, and Blodig as SBU went on to a 5-4 victory.
