"I want to thank Paul Moyer for the coaching opportunity," Dietrich said. "In the short year and a half I have been with the program, we have been the most improved in the league. I hope the next coach can keep it going and continue the improvement."
In his first year on the job, Detrich led the women's team to its first Centennial Conference victory since 2006 -- a 6-3 win against Bryn Mawr, snapping a 66-match conference losing streak.
In his encore season, Detirch was tabbed as the CC Coach of the Year on the men's side after a season that included a 5-4 win against Muhlenberg to notch the program's first win versus the Mules since 1982 and snap a 59-match conference losing streak.
"We appreciate the time and effort Bob has put into the program," Moyer said. "We hope to continue to build on those successes. Continuing to improve the competitiveness of our tennis program remains a priority for the department."
McDaniel will begin a national search for Dietrich's successor.
