The Flying Dutch bowed to Mary Washington, Va. 5-1 Friday in a second round match at the NCAA Division III women's tennis regiona in Granville, Ohio. Hope had opened the tournament on Thursday with a 6-0 victory over Keuka, N.Y. The Flying Dutch end their season with a 20-6 record.

The Flying Dutch, coached by Karen Page and Tiger Teusink, were competing in the NCAA tournament for the sixth time in school history and the first time since 2000.

Nicole Spagnuolo 6-1, 6-2; 4. Kate Malpeli (MW) d. Danielle Werley 6-0, 6-1; 5. Mia Savagian (H) vs. Amy Sheetz (MW), plus suspended when match decided; 6. Marissa Kooyer (H) vs. Michelle Meadows (UMW), play suspended when match suspended.
