SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Top-ranked and defending national champion Armstrong Atlantic picked up a pair of 9-0 Peach Belt Conference wins on Sunday, downing conference newcomer Young Harris and UNC Pembroke at Bacon Park to remain unbeaten on the season.

The Pirates moved to 9-0 and 7-0 in PBC play.

Armstrong took three quick doubles matches against Young Harris (6-3, 1-2 PBC) in the day's first match for the Pirates. Top-ranked Aleksandra Filipovski and Barbora Krtickova blanked Charlotte Dawson and Jane Plevako 8-0 at No. 1 doubles, while No. 6 Marlen Hacke and Olga Kalodzitsa downed Carolina Hernandez and Charlotte Moreau 8-1 at No. 2 doubles. Clara Perez and Natasa Vukovic beat Diana DiMarco and Lina Parra Pava 8-2 at No. 3 doubles.

No. 8 Filipovski paced the Pirates in singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win against No. 24 Plevako at No. 1 singles, while 14th-ranked Hacke defeated Dawson 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2 singles. No. 33 Perez beat Moreau 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles and 13th-ranked Kalodzitsa downed DiMarco 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 singles.

Jessica Gardefjord notched a 6-2, 6-0 win against Hernandez at No. 5 singles and Vukovic finished off the sweep with a 6-1, 6-1 win versus Stormy Dvorak at No. 6 singles.

The Pirates hosted UNC Pembroke in the afternoon and made quick work of the Braves (3-3, 1-3 PBC) by giving up just nine games in the match.

Filipovski and Krtickova beat Hannah Herlocker and Mia Winterbottom 8-2 at No. 1 doubles, while Hacke and Kalodzitsa blanked Shelby Bickel and Leigh-Anne McAfee 8-0 at No. 2 doubles. Perez and Vukovic blanked Madeline DiNunzio and Allison Johnson 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.

No. 2 Kritckova led the singles sweep with a 6-1, 6-0 win against Winterbottom at No. 1 singles. Hacke defeated McAfee 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and Perez beat Herlocker 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Kalodzitsa blanked Bickel 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles and Vukovic knocked off Monica Espitia 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 singles. Gardefjord defeated DiNunzio 6-0, 6-2 to finish off the sweep.
