GREENWOOD, S.C. -- Top-ranked and defending NCAA Division II national champion Armstrong Atlantic State finished off a 10th consecutive unbeaten Peach Belt Conference season with a 9-0 victory against Lander on Monday afternoon at the Joe Cabri Tennis Courts.

Armstrong (21-1, 13-0 PBC) captured the 2013 PBC regular-season title outright for a 10th consecutive league regular-season crown and stretched its regular-season league winning streak to 110 consecutive matches, dating back to 2003. Lander closes out its season at 8-9 overall and 4-8 in the Peach Belt Conference.

The Pirates collected wins in two of three doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead heading into singles play. The No. 2 doubles duo of Aleksandra Filipovski and Barbora Krtickova blanked Tiffany Vanhpraseuth and Marion Courbis 8-0 at No. 1 doubles, while the No. 6 duo of Marlen Hacke and Olga Kalodzitsa downed Carolina Lainez and Renata Mello 8-0 at No. 2 doubles. Lander's doubles point came at No. 3 doubles with Ainhoa Rico Martin and Aurelia Ruffat defeating Clara Perez and Natasa Vukovic 9-8 (5).

Armstrong then clinched the match with consecutive-set singles wins in all six singles matches. No. 22-ranked Perez beat Courbis 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, while No. 3 Krtickova downed Lainez 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. No. 11-ranked Hacke defeated Martin 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

No. 23 Kalodzitsa blanked Cayce Bradley 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles, while Vukovic beat Ruffat 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles. Jessica Gardefjord finished off the singles sweep with a 6-0, 6-0 win against Lori Flick at No. 6 singles.

The Pirates will now be the No. 1 seed heading into the Peach Belt Conference Championships.
