JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. -- Tusculum made it 12 wins in a row with a 6-3 victory at Carson-Newman in a South Atlantic Conference match Tuesday afternoon.

The Pioneers (15-1, 6-0 SAC) never trailed against the Eagles (9-8, 3-3 SAC) on their way to extending their streak of consecutive victories to a dozen. Tusculum led 2-1 after doubles and 4-2 after the first round of singles before clinching the win with a victory from Kealee Heffner at flight four.

Tusculum claimed two of the three doubles points as Heffner teamed with Kate Hutchinson for an 8-5 win against Stefy Stand and Breanne Tremblay at flight one. At flight two, the team of Erin Mills and Adrienne Kaye pushed their record to 13-0 with an 8-2 victory against Patricia Guerreiro and Jennifer Ott.
