No. 7 Florida beats rain, Ole Miss for victory

OXFORD, Miss. -- Seventh-ranked Florida completed its weekend trip to the Magnolia State with a 4-2 win against No. 24 Mississippi at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center early Sunday afternoon.

With the threat of rain in the forecast, the match began one hour earlier than originally scheduled and play started with singles action with the hope that one school would clinch the dual match prior to needing the doubles point to decide the outcome.

Florida obliged as seniors Olivia Janowicz and Sofie Oyen provided the first two singles wins of the match, before the Lady Rebels took two of the next three decisions, with freshman Kourtney Keegan taking the win on court No. 6 for a 3-2 Gator lead.

Sophomore Brianna Morgan provided the clinching heroics with a 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 6-3 victory against Caroline Rohde-Moe moments before rain flooded the courts.
