BOLIVAR, Mo. -- Southwest Baptist advanced to the Round of 16 for the second consecutive year when it defeated Arkansas Tech 5-1 on Tuesday afternoon. The Bearcats now stand at 22-3 on the season.
The Bearcats began the afternoon by sweeping the Golden Suns in all three doubles matches, with Fanni Varga/Christina Zentai, Mehak/Singh/Lani Tuemmers, and Andjela Panovski/Paula Carvajaleno all picking up victories. The Bearcats then received singles victories from Tuemmers and Zentai to cruise to a 5-1 victory.
