Share Brunswick, Me. -- TCNJ got off to a fast start in the 2014 NCAA Division III tournament as the Lions posted a 5-0 victory against Colby-Sawyer on Friday. The win put TCNJ at 12-6 on the season as they moved into the second round of the tournament at 2:30 p.m. ET Saturday where it will face 10th-ranked Middlebury. This weekend's regional round is being hosted by Bowdoin. The Chargers capped their season at 11-9. The Lions didn't waste any time gaining the advantage sweeping all three points in doubles. The top pairing of sophomores Emma Allen and Jasmine Muniz-Cadorette netted the initial win of the match by the score of 8-3, while the third tandem of sophomore Victoria Michels and freshman Anna Prestera made it 2-0 with an identical 8-3 score. The second doubles pair of senior Tara Criscuolo and freshman Katie Buchbinder completed the sweep with an 8-4 triumph. In singles, Allen made it 4-0 breezing her way through fourth singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory, while Buchbinder was the next to finish securing the 5-0 win for the Lions. Buchbinder won 6-0, 6-1 at second singles. That win was her 17th of the season in singles. The final four singles matches remained unfinished as TCNJ secured the win with that fifth point.
