The Bearcats took down No. 35 Concordia (N.Y.) 5-4 in a lengthy rain-delayed match. SBU now improves to 23-3 on the season as it continues on in the NCAA tournament.
SBU endured a lengthy rain delay, and came out fighting. Zentai claimed a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 3 singles to give the Bearcats a 3-1 lead. Concordia (N.Y.) responded by taking No. 2 and No. 6 singles, knotting the score up 3-3, before SBU re-took the lead when Andjela Panovski picked up a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 5 singles. Concordia (N.Y.) picked up the No. 4 singles victory before Varga played an outstanding match, picking up a No. 1 singles victory 7-5, 6-7, 6-4.
