Mike Berry was the 2012 NCAA runner-up at 400 meters. As a junior, he qualified for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials and broke his own school record twice during the season (44.75). In 2011, Berry was the Pac-12 400-meter champion (44.91) and broke a 51-year-old school record set by Olympian Otis Davis.

A year ago, Tim Glover captured a consecutive NCAA national title in javelin with a personal-best toss of 268-00. He was named the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Male Field Athlete of the Year and was a semifinalist for the Bowerman Award, which is bestowed to the top male and female track & field athlete each year. Glover also qualified for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials, where he finished sixth with a throw of 250-00.

Erik Kynard Jr. is coming off of back-to-back outdoor national championships in 2011 and 2012. As a junior in 2012, he swept all five outdoor high jump events that he participated in, including a school and Drake Stadium facility record of 2.34m/7-08.00 at the NCAA championships. He has been named a USTFCCCA Outdoor All-American in all three of his collegiate seasons. Kynard also earned a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics.

As a sophomore in 2012, Chad Wright captures his first NCAA championship in discus. He established a Husker record with throw of 206-0 (62.78) on his fifth attempt of competition. His mark was the longest throw in Division I in 2012, earning him the national title and was the longest winning distance at the NCAA championships since 2007. He set an outdoor personal-best of 61-1 1/2 (18.63) in the shot put at the 2012 Big Ten Outdoor Championships, finishing fifth overall.
