RALEIGH, N.C. -- Roxroy Cato of St. Augustine's won the 400-meter hurdles in 50.22 seconds and teammate DeJon Wilkinson won the triple jump with a mark of 51-8 1/4 on a wet day at the 2014 Raleigh Relays at Derr Track on the NC State campus on Saturday.
St. Augustine's stood out in the relay events. The Falcons placed second in the 4x100-meter relay in 40.17, second in the men's 4x200-meter relay in 1:23.22 and second in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:06.59.
In the100-meter dash, Jermaine Jones was third in 10.57 and Daniel Jamieson placed fifth in 10.63. Elhadji Mbow finished fourth in the 400-meter hurdles in 51.35. Anthony Todd placed seventh in the men's 200-meter dash in 21.75.
St. Augustine's, the defending NCAA Division II outdoor champion and two-time indoor champion, was one of 114 NCAA schoosl, as well as a contingent of club and professional teams, at the prestigious meet. A total of 4,158 athletes competed in 58 events.
