Syracuse runner loses shoe, wins race

Freshman Justyn Knight brought home a gold medal in the 1500-meters in his debut performance at the ACC Track and Field Championships.

The rookie finished the race with just one shoe after losing one late in the race, en route to a first-place finish with a time of 3:47.85.

The win continued a string of dominance for Knight, who has competed just three times individually for the Orange in his career, setting a pair of school records and now taking an ACC championship in his freshman campaign.
