MARIETTA, Ohio -- Fourteenth-ranked Mount Union beat Marietta in three sets (25-20, 25-15, 25-13) on Wednesday to improve to 15-4 overall and 2-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference.

For the Purple Raiders, it was their fifth consecutive victory and 12th in their last 13 matches.

Leading the way for Mount Union in the kills category were Nicole Snyder and Kara Berger, who recorded nine and six kills, respectively.

Senior Kristen Gromes picked up 15 digs to lead Mount Union and fellow senior Dee Glass had five blocks.

Sophomores Sarah Schleich and Brittany Woodard led the Raiders in the assist category. Schleich tallied 17 assists and Woodard finished with 11.

Marietta fell to 13-5 overall and 2-1 in the OAC.
