Midwest Volleyball Challenge
The only two remaining undefeated Division III teams, Mount Union and Calvin, play each other Friday at Calvin as part of the Midwest Challenge tournament.
Calvin and Hope will co-host the Midwest Volleyball Challenge this Friday and Saturday. Play begins at Van Noord Arena at Calvin on Friday with No. 7 Mount Union taking on Wittenberg, No. 1 Calvin facing No. 7 Mount Union, and No. 1 Calvin playing Wittenberg. Sixth-ranked Elmhurst will face Clarkson at Devos Fieldhouse on Hope's campus before taking on the hosts later in the day.
Saturday, No. 1 Calvin will face No. 6 Elmhurst before Elmhurst takes on Heidelberg and Calvin will take on Chicago. Hope will face Wittenberg at Devos Fieldhouse before Mount Union plays Bethany. Mount Union will then face off with Hope on the main court later in the afternoon.
No. 3 St. Thomas (MInn.)
Last weekend, the third-ranked Tommies scored another victory against a top-10 ranked team, this time a 3-1 decision against No. 6 Elmhurst. That capped a 4-0 weekend in Waverly, Iowa at the Wartburg tournament.
This weekend, No. 3 St. Thomas will face both Wisconsin-River Falls and Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Friday.
No. 4 Cal Lutheran
Saturday, Cal Lutheran will travel to Pomona-Pitzer in their only match of the weekend. Caitlin Fransen, Hannah Orlandi and Dianna Rohrer had seven kills apiece as Cal Lutheran made quick work of the Caltech on Saturday, defeating the Beavers 3-0 (25-9, 25-9, 25-13 ).
The Regals had a season-high attacking percentage of .457 and had 42 kills to just five errors.
With the win, Cal Lutheran improved to 17-1 and is now just one game away from tying the best start in school history since 2005.

No. 9 Colorado College
This weekend, No. 9 Colorado College will travel to Shreveport, La. for three matches. CC will begin the weekend against Austin on Friday before taking on Centenary and Dallas on Saturday.
On Saturday, for the first time this season, Colorado College dropped the first set of a match, but proceeded to win six consecutive and claim their third home-court tournament title in as many tries so far in 2013.
They won the Spike It Up Classic crown with 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-23) victory against Nebraska Wesleyan in Saturday's championship contest.
No. 10 St. Benedict (Minn.)
This Saturday, St. Benedict (Minn.) will take on Luther (Iowa) in St. Joesph, Minn.
St. Benedict capped a perfect weekend at the Saint Mary's Cardinal Invitational last weekend, winning 3-0 against Central and 3-1 against Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
The offense racked up 106 kills during two matches, with Lexi Rinde leading the way with 32 on the day. Lexi Alm had 25.
