Hawaii takes runner-up

“"HONOLULU, Hawaii -- No. 22 Hawaii took home runner-up honors at the Outrigger Resorts Volleyball Challenge, topping San Francisco 15-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-20 on Sunday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.
 
Olivia Magill was the mark of efficiency for the Rainbows, who closed their preseason tournament schedule with a 6-3 overall record. Magill put down a match-high 15 kills while committing just one error and hitting .560. Nikki Taylor belted 14 kills in her first start of the season and Tayler Higgins and Sarah Mendoza both added a team-best 11 digs.
 
Katarina Pilepic was the top hitter for the Dons (5-4) with 13 kills. Kim Gutierrez added a match-high 17 digs.
