UCLA volleyball's Madeleine Gates makes epic dunk

Perhaps UCLA's Madeleine Gates should become a two-sport athlete for the Bruins?

The sophomore middle blocker made waves on social media after video captured her slamming down a volleyball into the hoop.

You have to admit, it was a pretty impressive dunk.

At 6'3", Gates made it look easy, but this isn't her first time on the basketball court. The San Diego native played center for her high school's basketball team for two years.

It seems like it's been a fun summer for the squad. Earlier this week, the team got photos with NBA players Chris Paul and James Harden.

The Bruins will begin play against San Diego on Aug. 25 at the Texaco Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii.
