
TAMPA, Fla. -- No. 2 Tampa defeated Flagler in a three set sweep on Wednesday night in the Martinez Athletic Center. The Spartans improve to 21-1 on the season while the Saints drop to 14-9.
Rightside hitter Marissa Lisenbee led Tampa with 11 kills and four blocks registering an errorless .688 hitting percentage for the night. Middle blocker Meagan Burke torched the Saints for eight kills a torrid .636 clip. Outside hitter Berkley Whaley joins her teammate at the top of the board with eight additional kills.
Libero Jen Scholz and setter Kahley Patrick tallied nine digs apiece. Junior Patrick paced the Spartans with 29 assists and a team hitting percentage of .367.
Flagler middle blocker Abby Meyers paved the way for her squad with seven kills. Libero Caitlyn Kovach and outside hitter Genel Sturgeon amassed nine and eight digs respectively.
