The fourth-seeded Bears (20-7) advance to Saturday’s NCAA semifinals, where they will play top-seeded UCLA (25-2). All-MPSF First Team sophomores Roser Tarrago and Dora Antal each scored two goals for Cal while sophomore goalie Madeline Trabucco recorded eight saves. Antal’s 6-on-5 goal with 3:41 tied the game at 5-5 after the Bears had led 4-1 early on. Cal, playing in the NCAA Championships for the fourth time in six years, is in the NCAA semifinals for the second year in a row.
