ALLIANCE, Ohio -- No. 16 Mount Union won nine of 10 matches to easily dispatch Heidelberg 34-6 in an Ohio Athletic Conference match on Tuesday night at the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.

It was the final regular season home dual for Mount Union (9-4, 3-1 OAC) and it was also the final home match for eight Purple Raider seniors each of whom scored wins.

Senior Kevin Shadrach had a dominating performance as he won his 32nd match of the season with a pin in 1:31 at 149 pounds.

The other Mount Union pin came from All-American junior Riki Reynolds, who wrestled for the first time since December, and got a fall 2:20 in at 125 pounds.

Senior John Piechuta got a major decision victory at 165 pounds while fellow senior TJ Arnone almost picked up a major decision but settled for a 12-5 win at 133 pounds.

Seniors Josh Malave and Joe Spooner got narrow 3-2 and 2-1 wins at 141 and 157 pounds respectively.

Senior Andy Jenkins captured a 5-2 victory at 184 pounds while All-American Derick Hesson got an 8-3 win at 285 pounds for his 102 career victory which ties him with Andy Lamancusa (1984-88) for the second-most in team history.

Heidelberg falls to 3-7 overall and 1-2 in the OAC.
