Former NCAA wrestler Anthony Robles surprises 8th grade wrestler

GRESHAM, Ore. (KOIN) — Elijah Mott recently joined the 8th-grade wrestling team at H.B. Lee Middle School in the Reynolds School District. So far he’s won most of his matches.

But he didn’t join the team until after teacher/basketball coach Eddie Schauffler told him about Anthony Robles.

Here's what we learned from the U23 wrestling world championships

Gabriel Townsell, Chas Tucker, Brady Berge and Chase Singletary returned from the U23 World Championships Budapest last week and will transition into the college folkstyle season with the goal of earning their first All-American honors in March. Brady Koontz, Chad Porter and Tate Orndorff represented the United States in Greco-Roman and are also set to compete this fall.
