The Vanderbilt Commodores scored nine runs in the third inning and survived a furious comeback by the Virginia Cavaliers to win Game 1 of the 2014 College World Series Finals by the score of 9-8. Tyler Campbell went 2-for-4 with three RBI for the Commodores.
