Before leading Saint Peter's on an improbable 2022 March Madness run, coach Shaheen Holloway went on a Sweet 16 run of his own as Seton Hall's starting point guard in 2000. Holloway hit the OT game winner in their first round game to beat Oregon before going down with an ankle injury early in their second round matchup, but the Pirates prevailed over Temple in another OT thriller.
